My Greatest Concern for Those Who Expect Me to Respect Their Truth

Truth is not relative. Jesus said that He WAS the truth and that the Word of the Living God is true. I consider it a GREAT danger to dilute the definition of truth, especially in the time we live. We are being groomed by the enemy of our soul, Satan, to welcome lies into our lives that masquerade as truth. And the more we give ourselves to demonic lies, the more God will give us over to our own devices. If we don’t want God’s truth, He will not always strive with us to protect us against lies.  If we insist on taking residence in a sea of lies, God…

    God is not Overweight

Got is not overweight? What could I possibly mean by that? The Bible says that God is a spirit that fills heaven and earth. In fact the Bible says that God is an invisible spirit that fills heaven and earth. God is not a quantity. God is not a volume. He is spirit. He is not physical. Science has attempted to find God in many ways. But science cannot perceive God because God is transcendent. You cannot put an invisible omnipresent spirit into a beaker. You cannot weigh God. You cannot measure the volume of a spirit that is omnipresent. Basically science cannot find God. And one who thinks that…

Science Finds God But Doesnt Recognise It

I remember a cartoon years ago that showed a very tired individual who has climbed a very high mountain and is just arriving at the peak. He is labeled “Science”. The mountain is labeled something like “Search for God”. He has arrived only to find an established campsite with people sitting around a warm campfire. They are labeled “Religion”. Science basically can’t find or analyse God except by inference. After all, God is transcendent. He exists outside of our 3 dimensional universe of time and space. Within the universe, God is described as an invisible spirit that fills heaven and earth. It’s pretty hard to put an invisible, non-physical, omni-present…

    Foolishness to the Greeks

1 Corinthians 1:18-2:14 NASB (18) For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (19) For it is written, “I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE.” (20) Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? (21) For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached…

    Reverend Scientist

“Everyone who is seriously committed to the cultivation of science becomes convinced that in all the laws of the universe is manifest a spirit vastly superior to man, and to which we with our powers must feel humble.” “Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” Albert Einstein “I think the greatest argument for the existence in God is the impossibility of demonstrating and understanding that the immense universe, sublime above all measure, and man were the result of chance.” Charles Darwin “It is true, that a little philosophy inclineth man’s mind to atheism, but depth philosophy bringeth men’s minds to religion; for while the mind of man looketh…

    Christians Should Celebrate Hanukkah

Hanukkah is a story of the faithfulness of God in protecting His people, His temple and ultimately all of mankind. If you recall, the whole purpose of Israel from the beginning was to bring forth Messiah because of the fall. If God had allowed Israel to be destroyed, the Messiah would not have come. That is certainly something for all Christians to celebrate. https://www.charismanews.com/opinion/standing-with-israel/46721-here-s-why-christians-should-celebrate-hanukkah

    Believe

There is nothing like a simple song to convey the simple message that God is real, that His plan of the ages is real, that the plan focusses on the salvation of sinful man and that all the human intelligence in the world cannot gainsay or resist the message. The renowned theologian Karl Barth was at Rockefeller Chapel on the campus of the University of Chicago during his lecture tour of the U.S. in 1962. After his lecture, during the Q & A time, a student asked Barth if he could summarize his whole life’s work in theology in a sentence. Barth said “Yes, I can. In the words of the…

    I love Music

I love music.  I live inside my music quite often.  The world is a harsh place and I find music to be a very therapeutic hideaway.  I have a long list of favorite songs that all relate to some time and place in my life.  I can put on my headphones and completely leave this world temporarily and just bask in the world of music. I believe God made music as a vehicle for expressing our love and worship of Him.  But music is also a very powerful way to express feelings.  It can be very healing. If you have seen my 5-star song list, many of those are the…

Looking for that City whose Builder and Maker is God

There is a section of scripture in the Bible that speaks of Abraham: Heb 11:8-10 NAS77 (8) By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. (9) By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; (10) for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. I have to say I am looking for that city too.  Wandering in…
