Trinity
To those of us struggling to conform to the scripture that says “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ,” the doctrine of the Trinity is our nemesis. Formed 300 years after Christ, it is no more than a distortion of scripture rather than an explanation. We would do well to go back to the Bible and let it speak for itself.
