Mt Saint Helens 37 Years Later

This video was not made by me but I have been to Mt St Helens a number of times and have posted some of my pictures in my photo album on this blog.

The videographer mentioned Harry Truman who had a lodge on the south end of Spirit Lake. He refused to leave when the area was evacuated in 1980. On one of my trips to Windy Ridge on the SE corner of Spirit Lake, a ranger  pointed to a spot out in the middle of present-day Spirit Lake and told me if you went out to that spot, then went down 200 ft under water and then another 100’ under the mud, that would be Harry’s lodge and he would most likely be somewhere inside.
